The Great Eight: Dining Tables

The ever important dining table. It wears many hats. Use them as desks, entry tables, or actually eat on one. All of these are up to the challenge...and won't break the bank. I love the Dockstra table for a smaller space like a breakfast nook and the Bourdonnais trestle table could go casual or formal depending on the chairs.

31

Next week is my birthday. I'll be 31. Ugh. 31 is seeming to be a more difficult number for me to deal with. 30 was a breeze. I didn't feel all the anxiety that you think you'll feel when you turn 30. Granted I had just had a baby, so maybe my mind was on other things. But now, I am IN my thirties. Sounds strange. So, I put together a wish list of lovely items that might just make next Wednesday a little less painful.

Horse to Room?

I guess inspiration can come from anywhere. Meet Java Chip, my therapist (he's a fantastic listener). I put a new navy saddle pad on him today and thought "Well doesn't he look sharp". Considering navy is my new favorite color. And then I thought that color scheme would look great in a room.

And then my mind went to this photo I've had pinned.

It works, right? Thanks, Chip.

On another note, check out this nugget that was born last night at the stables. He's all legs and all wobbly. I mean, seriously, cutest.thing.ever.

The Great Eight: Coffee Tables

Oh I do love a good coffee table. Not just for coffee, for books, candles, objects, art, magazines....basically anything and everything. These lovelies would look good with anything you decide to throw on there. Styling it is a must, but that's a whole other post.

Obsession

Last week I saw this photo on a favorite blog of mine, Savvy Home, and I became obsessed with finding a leopard painting similar to this. Well, after hours of searching Ebay, Etsy, and other random websites....nothing. Sad day. However, I will never admit defeat!

Spoonflower

I haven't yet professed my love for Spoonflower on this blog. So here goes. It's so completely awesome. A site devoted to custom fabrics and best of all you can choose the pattern you love and pick the weight of fabric you want it printed on. And best, BEST of all, it's cost effective. Also, if you are design-ey and so inclined, you can upload a design you created and they will print it on fabric! Wee!

Here are just a few of my favorites from their vast selection. Seriously, they have everything. You can get lost in there for hours. www.spoonflower.com

Loving: The Edie Attache

J Crew has done it again. As if I don't obsessively covet every shoe, bag, necklace, dress, and cardigan these people put out, now they have launched the Edie Attache. And I want it.....badly.

this b/w is my fave, but all the other colors are just as dreamy.

Bedroom Finale

I posted a while ago about a bedroom I was working on for dear friends. It's finally finished (except for a minor hardware issue which does not hinder the "finished" part) and it turned out lovely. I love the chiang mai pillows and the sputnik chandelier. I love everything actually. I hope they are as happy living in it as I was designing it!

Here is the design board we started with.

And this is the result! They were so fantastic to work with. Love you guys!

I'm (hopefully) wrapping up another room this week so I will post those pics as well as soon as I can take some. Happy Monday everyone!
